Questions About Christianity

Isn’t Christianity just a bunch of rules telling me what I can and can’t do, and when I have to do it? You’re confusing Christianity with “religion”. That startled you, didn’t it? Yes, Christianity is called as “a religion”, in the broadest sense of the word, but the Bible tells us that Jesus came to set us free, not bind us up in new sets of rules and regulations. Questions about Jesus

Who was / is Jesus? FaithFuel firmly believes that Jesus was and is the Son of God. He was baptised in the River Jordan by His cousin John the Baptiser, and after this, He spent 40 days and nights in the wilderness being tempted by the devil. After that, Jesus called a number of men to follow Him and become His disciples. Jesus taught in the Synagogues (Jewish […]

The Gospel

What Do You Mean, “The Gospel”? The word “gospel” actually just means, “good news”. In the Bible, you’ll find four books called “Gospels” – the Gospel according to Matthew, the Gospel according to Mark, the Gospel according to Luke and the Gospel according to John. For Christians, “the Gospel” is the story of Jesus Christ, but there is a more basic application than that which means you don’t have to read whole books of the Bible to understand what the Gospel really is about. This is the Gospel Message, and if you’re curious about Christianity, it’s what you need to know to help you make a decision to follow Christ. The Gospel Message It really is quite simple. The Bible is a very long book, filled with lots of interesting, and sometimes not-so-interesting stuff, and […]
